Thomas Martin
Training centre manager and trainer
He runs a training centre and works as an independent trainer. From 2022 to 2024, through a consultancy, he worked with large groups, public bodies, companies and other training providers: business software, sales technique, preparation for digital certifications, support in adopting professional platforms. What he knows is the actual workstation of a training team, not the sales demonstration of that workstation.
His path started on the technical side, and it shows in what he writes. Graphic designer then webmaster on apprenticeship contracts from 2012 to 2017, trainer on professional software across France, technician then systems and network administrator from 2018 to 2020 in a fast-growing industrial company: network modernisation, endpoint security, rollout of a collaborative environment, and a GDPR compliance programme run from the inside, on real data and on users who had asked for none of it.
From 2020 to 2022, sales engineer at an industrial software vendor: qualifying requirements, running proofs of concept on site, deployment and handover at international accounts. He has seen both sides of the table, the one promising a solution at a trade show and the one that has to make it work on Monday. He writes here about compliance and the evidence it demands, the real cost of a platform, and what a training provider is entitled to expect from a vendor.
